The relationship of educational environment and preparedness to practice - perceptions of Malaysian dental graduates

Summary: Evaluating dental graduates' perceptions of their university training and preparedness for professional practice is important in assessing the quality of their curriculum. This study found that most graduates felt well prepared in various areas of clinical practice and had a positive perception of their educational environment. There was a moderate positive correlation between their preparedness and their perception of the learning environment. Overall, the findings suggest that the majority of dental graduates are adequately prepared for professional practice.
