Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): A current insight into its molecular mechanism eliciting organ toxicities

Nagesh Kishan Panchal et al.

Summary: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used medications with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects. They may offer protection against diseases like cancer and cardiovascular diseases. However, overdosing on NSAIDs can lead to adverse effects on various systems. Despite existing studies on the clinical risks of NSAIDs, comprehensive reviews on the various toxicities caused by overdosing are lacking. Thus, this review provides a comprehensive overview of NSAIDs and focuses on the toxicities caused by prolonged use or overdosage.

Computational investigation of a covalent triazine framework (CTF-0) as an efficient electrochemical sensor

Sehrish Sarfaraz et al.

Summary: In this study, a covalent triazine framework (CTF-0) was investigated as an electrochemical sensor for industrial pollutants. Various analyses were conducted to understand the interaction between the pollutants and CTF-0. The results showed that the pollutants are physically adsorbed onto the CTF-0 surface, and dispersion plays a major role in the overall energy contribution. Additionally, the charge transfer and reduction in energy gap indicate the sensitivity of CTF-0 towards different pollutants.
