Phenyl-imidazole based and nitrogen rich hyper-crosslinked polymer for sensitive determination of aflatoxins

Summary: Three novel hyper-crosslinked polymers with large specific surface area and excellent chemical stability were fabricated using heterocyclic phenyl-imidazole as monomer. These polymers were used as solid phase extraction adsorbent for sensitive determination of aflatoxins in rice samples. The established method provided wide linear range, low detection limit and satisfactory recovery, and the adsorption mechanism was explored. This work provides a powerful tool for simultaneous determination of aflatoxins in food grains with great application potential in aflatoxin monitoring.

Synthesis of amine-functionalized magnetic porous organic polymers for effective extraction of phenolic endocrine disrupting chemicals

Summary: Amine-functionalized porous organic polymers (EDA-POP-PC and EDA-POP-BT) were prepared by modifying POP-PC and POP-BT with ethylenediamine (EDA) for the first time. These materials showed superior adsorption capacity for phenolic endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). A magnetically functionalized version, M-EDA-POP-PC, was used as a magnetic adsorbent for enrichment of phenolic EDCs from real samples, achieving low detection limits and good method recoveries.

Evaluation of three sorbent-phase extraction techniques based on hyper-crosslinked polymer for the extraction of five endocrine disrupters in water
