Development of green masonry mortar using fine recycled aggregate based on the shear bond strength of brick masonry

P. Murthi et al.

Summary: This investigation aims to develop a sustainable green masonry mortar by using fine recycled aggregate (FRA). The study evaluates the influence of FRA on the shear bond strength of brick masonry and determines the optimum replacement level. The findings indicate that the substitution of recycled aggregate affects the shear bond strength of masonry structures, and identifies the factors influencing the shear bond strength of brick masonry.

Characterisation of ultra-fine fly ash as sustainable cementitious material for masonry construction

L. Krishnaraj et al.

Summary: The study investigates the strength improvement and microstructural behavior of ultra-fine fly ash particles through synthesis and characterization techniques, showing positive effects on mortar and masonry. X-Ray Diffraction reveals multiphase crystalline structures, while readings indicate enhanced compressive strength, shear resistance, and bonding in construction applications using ultra-fine fly ash.
