RRIFLoc: Radio Robust Image Fingerprint Indoor Localization Algorithm Based on Deep Residual Networks

Shanghui Deng et al.

Summary: Indoor localization is a promising research area due to the growing demand for location-based services in indoor environments. The fingerprint positioning method using received signal strength indicator (RSSI) is widely used for its simplicity and low cost. However, RSSI is affected by environment changes and device heterogeneity, leading to fingerprint drift and feature disappearance, resulting in low accuracy and weak robustness. In this article, we propose a robust indoor localization method called RRIFLoc algorithm, which eliminates the need for calibration of Wi-Fi image fingerprints and improves accuracy and anti-interference capability by using signal strength difference (SSD) and RSSI kurtosis.

WiFi Signal-Based Gesture Recognition Using Federated Parameter-Matched Aggregation

Weidong Zhang et al.

Summary: Gesture recognition is crucial for smart homes. Existing WiFi signal-based approaches require large amounts of data and human participants to train models, which lack robustness. To address this issue, we propose a WiFi signal-based gesture recognition system using matched averaging federated learning, which improves the accuracy and robustness of the model by considering differences in WiFi signal distribution caused by the same gesture in different environments.
