Summary: The analysis of the important environmental impacts and eco-efficiency of the semiconductor manufacturing industry shows that, unlike many other sectors, larger company size, higher technological capacity, and more advanced technologies are not always correlated with lower quantities of water, energy, waste, wastewater, and GHG emissions per unit of production. It is hoped that foundry firms, especially those with the most advanced technologies, will invest more in optimizing resource use and further reducing GHG emissions and waste generation in the future.

Summary: Low-carbon economy is a new trend in economic development, with a focus on sustainable development in cold chain logistics. This paper introduces a time-dependent green vehicle routing problem (TDGVRP) for front warehouses, considering costs such as fixed costs, refrigeration costs, fuel consumption costs, carbon emission costs, time window violation costs, and damage costs. The study also explores the impact of traffic congestion and carbon tax on the TDGVRP, proposing a hybrid simulated annealing and tempering algorithm (HSATA) to address the model. Results show that traffic congestion increases carbon emissions, while increased carbon tax can reduce emissions within a certain range, supporting green and sustainable decision-making in cold chain logistics.
