Homogenous high enhancement surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates by simple hierarchical tuning of gold nanofoams

Hanna J. Koster et al.

Summary: Surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is a powerful tool for vibrational spectroscopy that enhances chemical sensitivity by several orders of magnitude compared to spontaneous Raman scattering. However, synthesizing robust and uniform SERS substrates quickly and easily remains a challenge.
