Decision Aids for Shared Decision-making in Uro-oncology: A Systematic Review

Britta Gruene et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the quality of existing decision aids (DAs) for uro-oncology patients and found a majority of DAs target prostate cancer, with fewer options available for kidney and bladder cancer patients. C. Groeben et al.

Summary: Research indicates a positive correlation between the number of uro-oncological surgery cases and perioperative outcomes, but there is no significant trend towards centralization. The development in case numbers seems to be more influenced by the promotion of technical innovations and the regional relationship between patients and hospitals.
