Summary: With the rapid development of society and the changing environment, traditional career counseling focusing on personal choice is no longer sufficient. Introducing the ideology of Life Design Counseling (LDC) is meaningful and valuable. However, there are challenges in the field of LDC, including the lack of attention to clients and professional counselors from diverse backgrounds, limited diversity in intervention methods, and insufficient research. Therefore, further attention is needed on the theoretical and practical research of LDC.

The outcomes of a mixed-methods, innovative group life design intervention with unemployed youths

Summary: This article presents an innovative life design intervention in a developing country context, involving 31 unemployed youths. A mixed-methods design was used to construct and analyse data, with tools like the Maree Career Matrix, Career Interest Profile, and Career Adapt-Abilities Scale. The intervention led to changes in participants' career lives, improvement in self-understanding, and broadening of their career-life perspectives.
