Protocol designs for NOON states

Daniel S. Grun et al.

Summary: The ability to prepare non-classical states reliably is crucial for the realization of quantum technology, and NOON states have emerged as a leading candidate for various applications. This paper demonstrates how to generate NOON states in a model of dipolar bosons and discusses the physical feasibility using ultracold dipolar atoms. The authors propose two protocols, one deterministic and the other probabilistic, for generating arbitrary NOON states in ultra-cold atom systems.

Quantum magnonics: When magnon spintronics meets quantum information science

H. Y. Yuan et al.

Summary: Spintronics and quantum information science are promising candidates for innovating information processing technologies. The combination of these two fields enables us to study quantum phenomena and realize multi-functional quantum tasks. Recent progress in coding and processing information using magnons, as well as advances in understanding the entanglement of quasi-particles and designing high-quality quantum platforms, provide physical platforms for integrating magnons with quantum systems. This has led to the emergence of the highly interdisciplinary field of quantum magnonics, which combines spintronics, quantum optics, and quantum information science.

Analog Quantum Control of Magnonic Cat States on a Chip by a Superconducting Qubit

Marios Kounalakis et al.

Summary: This article proposes a method to directly and quantum-coherently couple a superconducting transmon qubit to magnons, the quanta of collective spin excitations in a nearby magnetic particle. It also demonstrates a quantum control scheme that generates high-fidelity magnon-qubit entanglement and magnonic Schr??dinger cat states.

Cavity magnonics

Babak Zare Rameshti et al.

Summary: Cavity magnonics explores the interaction between magnons and confined electromagnetic fields, offering strong magnon-photon coupling and nonlinear behavior in microwave cavities. This field has the potential to be integrated into future quantum technologies. Magnetic optical resonators enhance the interaction between magnons and light, enabling magnon cooling and heating. The coupling between a magnon mode and a superconducting qubit in a microwave cavity allows for measurements in the single magnon limit.

Creating triple-NOON states with ultracold atoms via chaos-assisted tunneling

G. Vanhaele et al.

Summary: This paper introduces how to generate highly entangled Triple-NOON states using interacting ultracold bosonic atoms in a symmetric three-site lattice. By applying a periodic driving of the lattice, the collective tunneling process can be significantly sped up without affecting the purity of the superposition. Using 87Rb atoms, a Triple-NOON state containing 5 particles can be achieved in a few seconds.

Accelerated adiabatic passage in cavity magnomechanics

Shi-fan Qi et al.

Summary: Cavity magnomechanics offers a controllable hybrid system for quantum state manipulation and transfer. By applying two accelerated-adiabatic-passage protocols, a fast and robust state transfer between photon-magnon mode and phonon mode is achieved. Both protocols are applicable to continuous-variable systems with arbitrary target states and can be optimized for stability.

Generation of Bell and Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger states from a hybrid qubit-photon-magnon system

Shi-fan Qi et al.

Summary: We propose a new method to achieve entanglement between a superconducting qubit and a magnon mode, which can be widely applied in quantum communication, quantum metrology, and quantum information processing. By utilizing the high controllability of the hybrid system, we derived effective Hamiltonians and efficiently generated entangled states. Numerical simulations demonstrated the robustness of this method against tuning time and noise.

Circuit quantum electrodynamics

Alexandre Blais et al.

Summary: Circuit quantum electrodynamics (QED) is an independent and thriving field of research that allows unprecedented detailed study and control of light-matter interaction at the quantum level. It has become essential in current approaches to gate-based digital quantum information processing with superconducting circuits, and also provides a framework for the study of hybrid quantum systems. The coherent coupling of superconducting qubits to microwave photons, dispersive qubit readout, and different regimes of light-matter interaction are key aspects of circuit QED.

Quantum Simulation of Three-Body Interactions in Weakly Driven Quantum Systems

Francesco Petiziol et al.

Summary: The research aims to realize effective Hamiltonians featuring many-body interactions beyond pairwise coupling for the quantum simulation of central models underpinning topological physics and quantum computation. By overcoming crucial limitations of perturbative Floquet engineering, the highly accurate realization of a purely three-body Hamiltonian in superconducting circuits and molecular nanomagnets has been discussed.
