Tunable Fano Resonances in Irregular Magnonic Structure

A. A. Grachev et al.

Summary: This study investigates the tunability of Fano resonance characteristics in a coupled system of magnonic stripes and resonators by manipulating geometric parameters, coupling magnitude, and spin wave intensity. The research shows the mechanism of spin wave spectra control on the nonlinear Fano resonance, including the shifts in resonance frequency and asymmetry coefficient.

Spin waves in YIG based magnonic networks: Design and technological aspects

Y. Khivintsev et al.

Summary: Microwave guides for spin waves based on yttrium iron garnet films and cross-like structures built on such waveguides are experimentally studied. The study discusses the effects of waveguide geometry, microantenna placement for excitation and detection of spin waves, and the geometry of waveguide junctions on the excitation and propagation efficiency of spin waves.

The 2021 Magnonics Roadmap

Anjan Barman et al.

Summary: Magnonics is a burgeoning research field that focuses on utilizing spin waves to transmit, store, and process information, showing significant progress in the past decade. The key challenges include excitation of sub-100 nm wavelength magnons, manipulation on the nanoscale, and creation of sub-micrometre devices using low-Gilbert damping magnetic materials. Magnonics offers advantages such as lower energy consumption, easier integrability, compatibility with CMOS structure, reprogrammability, shorter wavelength, smaller device features, anisotropic properties, negative group velocity, non-reciprocity, and efficient tunability by various external stimuli.
