This article presents the adjuvant treatment options (chemotherapy and radiotherapy) for primary endometrial cancer, based on a selective literature search and the new German S3 guideline.
Background: Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecological carcinoma and the fifth most common female cancer in Germany. Now that molecular changes in endometrial cancer can be better classified, they represent, among other factors, criteria for the selection of adjuvant therapy.Materials and methods: This article is based on a selective literature search with special consideration of the new German S3-guideline on endometrial cancer.Results: Adjuvant treatment options (chemotherapy and radiotherapy) in primary endometrial cancer are presented.
