X-ray induced dynamics in borate glasses with different network connectivity

G. Pintori et al.

Summary: This study investigates the atomic dynamics induced by hard x-rays in oxide glasses using X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy. The research finds that the product of the x-ray dose rate per atom and the decay time of the density correlation function is a sample-dependent parameter sensitive to the network connectivity of the glass, providing bonding information even in cases where the material is perturbed by x-rays.
