Porous nanofibers comprising hollow Co3O4/Fe3O4 nanospheres and nitrogen-doped carbon derived by Fe@ZIF-67 as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries

Ki Cheon Nam et al.

Summary: In this study, porous nanofibers composed of Fe@ZIF-67-derived dual-phase Co3O4/Fe3O4 hollow nanospheres and N-doped graphitic C (N-GC) were prepared as high-performance lithium-ion battery anodes. The optimized ZIFs containing both Co and Fe ion nodes were achieved by adding additional Fe salt in the precursor solution of ZIF-67. The obtained nanostructure exhibited a high discharge capacity and showed potential for applications in energy storage systems.

Hierarchical Nanocages Assembled by NiCo-Layered Double Hydroxide Nanosheets for a High-Performance Hybrid Supercapacitor

Xiang Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, a hierarchical nanocage structure assembled by NiCo-LDH nanosheet arrays was designed and fabricated via a solvothermal method. By increasing the Ni concentration, the specific surface area and interlayer spacing of LDH nanosheets were enlarged, leading to improved electron/ion transfer kinetics and achieving higher specific capacitance and cycling stability. This design concept demonstrates the potential of metal-organic frameworks derivatives in energy storage systems.

Oxygen Vacancy-Rich RuO2-Co3O4 Nanohybrids as Improved Electrocatalysts for Li-O2 Batteries

Yu Zhang et al.

Summary: The synthesized RuO2-Co3O4 nanohybrid for lithium-oxygen batteries effectively reduces overpotential and improves circulatory performance, cycling stably for over 100 cycles. The introduction of RuO2 increases the oxygen vacancy concentration of Co3O4, accelerating charge transfer and reducing the adsorption energy of LiO2 intermediate, thus lowering overpotential effectively.

Xuran Gao et al.

Summary: By adjusting the loading of MXene, a series of NiCo-LDH/MXene hybrids with excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance were obtained in this research. The synergistic effect of dielectric loss and magnetic loss, as well as the excellent attenuation ability and impedance matching characteristics of the material, contribute to the excellent EMW performance of the NiCo-LDH/MXene hybrids. The research demonstrated the impact of the structure and composition of EMW absorbers on their performance, and provided insights for the design and development of high-performance EMW absorption materials.
