Free Rotation of a Rigid Mass Carrying a Rotor with an Internal Torque

A. A. Galal

Summary: This paper investigates the analytic solution for a free rotational motion influenced by a motor with limited power. Through the use of tensor calculus tools, asymptotic method, and kinematic equations of motion (EOM), the asymptotic properties of solutions and a system of linear differential equations describing the approximate gyrostatic motion are obtained. The conclusion suggests that the motion of the carrier body is close to rotation about a fixed axis, depending on the problem's parameters and the initial conditions.

Studying the influence of external moment and force on a disc's motion

T. S. Amer et al.

Summary: This study examines the influence of a gyrostatic moment vector and the Newtonian field on the rotatory motion of a restricted rigid body around a fixed point. Using basic equations and first integrals, the system of motion is simplified and periodic solutions are obtained using Poincare's method. The stability of the solutions is analyzed through Euler angles and phase plane graphs.

A Complex Approach to the Interpretation of the Motion of a Solid with a Fixed Point

G. V. Gorr

Summary: This method proposes a complex approach to interpret the motion of a rigid body with a fixed point using Euler angles, Poinsot's theorem, a modified Poinsot's method, and an analytical equation introduced by the author.
