A novel application of entropy analysis for assessing changes in movement variability during cumulative tackles in young elite rugby league players

Bruno Fernandez-Valdes et al.

Summary: The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in movement variability between forwards and backs during cumulative tackle events training in both attacking and defensive roles. The results showed significant differences in movement variability between positions, particularly in the defensive role. The variability of movements decreased progressively with cumulative tackle events, and forwards exhibited lower variability values in all blocks, especially in the first block, regardless of their role.
