Coronally advanced flap combined with sticky bone and i-PRF-coated collagen membrane to treat single maxillary gingival recessions: Case series

Bhargavi Preeti Kapa et al.

Summary: This case series evaluated the efficacy of sticky bone with i-PRF-coated collagen membrane in treating gingival recession. The results showed promising outcomes for isolated maxillary Miller's Class I or II gingival recession, with most cases achieving complete root coverage. Further histological analysis and larger sample sizes are needed for definitive proof of soft and hard tissue regeneration.

Exploration of proper heating protocol for injectable horizontal platelet-rich fibrin gel

Xijiao Zheng et al.

Summary: This study aims to determine the optimal temperature for heat treatment of PRF gels and evaluate their structure, mechanical properties, and bioactivity. Results showed that heating at 75 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes produced H-PRF gels with good performance. Heat treatment improved the gel's structural density and mechanical properties.

The application of injectable platelet-rich fibrin in regenerative dentistry: A systematic scoping review of In vitro and In vivo studies

Nima Farshidfar et al.

Summary: This systematic scoping review explores the role of injectable platelet-rich fibrin (I-PRF) in the regeneration of oral and maxillofacial soft and hard tissues. The findings suggest that I-PRF exhibits anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects, and can promote wound, periodontal, bone, cartilage, and pulp regeneration, as well as accelerate tooth movement during orthodontic treatment.

Clinical evaluation of impact of periodontal phenotype on the outcome of open flap debridement in patients with chronic periodontitis: A comparative interventional study

Bhumika Gumber et al.

Summary: The study suggests that periodontal phenotype (PP) may impact the outcome of open flap debridement (OFD) for chronic periodontitis. Probing depth and PP are positively correlated with clinical attachment level gain, with a higher attachment gain observed in thick PP compared to thin PP patients.
