Determination of asphalt mixture's viscoelastic constitutive parameters for pavement response analysis using dynamic modulus transformation

Jun Zhang et al.

Summary: The paper develops a theoretical method to determine the Burgers model parameters of asphalt mixture by transforming dynamic modulus, which is verified through laboratory experiments, analytical derivation, and numerical modeling. Furthermore, a viscoelastic numerical modeling for Cagliari Elmas airport asphalt pavement's mechanical response is conducted using this method, and the comparison of results validates the efficiency and accuracy of the developed method.

Rutting prediction models for flexible pavement structures: A review of historical and recent developments

Avinash Kumar Singh et al.

Summary: Rutting is the major distress mode in flexible pavements due to traffic loading, with deformation comprising recoverable and irrecoverable parts; empirical models are used for analysis and prediction of accumulated rutting in different pavement components.

Rutting Prediction Model for Semirigid Base Asphalt Pavement Based on Hamburg Wheel Tracking Test

Leilei Chen et al.

Summary: This study developed a new rutting prediction model for semi-rigid base asphalt pavement (SBAP) based on field core specimens and Hamburg wheel tracking (HWT) test data. The proposed model showed significantly improved prediction accuracy compared to the original model embedded in the Chinese specification. The model development process could also be applied to other regions for rutting prediction.
