Summary: We demonstrate that a non-Hermitian two coupled Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model can exhibit a thermodynamic structure equivalent to a Hermitian two coupled SYK model, with the energy spectrum, entanglement degree of the ground states, and low energy effective action unaffected by the non-Hermiticity.

Summary: We studied the Page curves of an eternal Reissner-Nordstrom black hole in four dimensions with the presence of higher derivative terms. We found that adding contribution from the island surface led to a constant value of entanglement entropy of the Hawking radiation, which is twice of the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of the black hole.

Summary: We propose a gedanken experiment on realizing thermofield double state using analog black holes and provide an approach to test the scrambling time. The results show that for perturbations of analogue black holes embedded in AdS space, the scale of the scrambling time is closely related to the logarithm of entropy of the black hole.

Summary: This study investigates the Banados-Teiteboim-Zanelli black hole coupled to two thermal baths using the island paradigm and examines the Page curve and information paradox. The results show that for finite temperature black holes, the entanglement entropy of Hawking radiation follows the Page curve when the island is located outside the event horizon. However, extremal rotating black holes exhibit divergent Page time and scrambling time. To address this issue, the contribution of superradiance is considered, which leads to a decrease in black hole thermal entropy, scrambling time, and Page time, ultimately resulting in the domination of Hawking radiation.

Summary: An interesting deformation of Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) gravity, proposed by Witten, involves adding a potential term as a self-coupling for the scalar dilaton field. Exact solutions have been found for specific parameter values, which are used to construct Green functions for nonhomogeneous models. The study also addresses phase transitions between different patches of AdS due to discontinuity in the metric.

Summary: By employing the extended island formula, we computed the entanglement entropy of Hawking radiation for black hole solutions of certain gravitational models containing higher derivative terms. Our results showed that despite the non-unitarity of the corresponding gravitational models, the entropy followed the Page curve, thanks to the contribution of the island.

Summary: We study black holes in 2D de Sitter JT gravity coupled to a CFT, entangled with matter in a non-gravitating universe. The entropy of the entangled matter increases indefinitely with entanglement strength, but must level off due to monogamy. The competition between field theory entanglement entropy and extremal islands in the de Sitter geometry plays a key role in stabilizing the entropy growth.

Summary: In this study, the evaporation of two-dimensional black holes in JT gravity is examined from a three-dimensional perspective, where dynamics are described by introducing time-dependence. By re-scaling parameters, the process is mapped to the canonical picture of exponential evaporation, providing a geometric explanation for the appearance of island regions in the Page curve.

Summary: The study investigates the information paradox of eternal black holes with charges in a doubly-holographic model, involving calculating entanglement entropy and proposing two strategies to address the paradox. The research aims to properly describe the black hole information paradox using enough degrees of freedom on the brane in the doubly-holographic setup.

Summary: The late-time dominance of entanglement islands is crucial in addressing the information paradox for AdS black holes coupled to a non-gravitational bath. When considering entanglement between different sectors, non-trivial time-dependence is observed. However, discontinuous changes in entropy properties occur with variations in the angle.

Summary: By considering a four-dimensional charged hyperbolic black hole as working matter, a black hole holographic heat engine is established and its efficiency is studied. It is found that when entropy increase is zero, the efficiency becomes the Carnot efficiency, and less charge corresponds to higher efficiency. Other cases of efficiency in flat and spherical cases are also compared with that of hyperbolic charged black holes using numerical simulation.

Summary: This study examines the computation of entanglement entropy on a gravitating brane, utilizing a doubly holographic prescription with a Dirichlet anchoring condition. By sliding the anchor and analyzing the strength of gravity on the brane, researchers have discovered the holographic nature of gravity and methods for resolving the information paradox. The results align with discussions on gravitating baths and emphasize the significance of the conventional Page curve in addressing the information paradox in flat space.

Summary: The study explores the AdS/BCFT duality between two-dimensional conformal field theories and three-dimensional anti-de Sitter space with KarchRandall branes, focusing on entanglement entropy and communication between braneworld black holes. A consistent Page curve is found, with gravitational results matching field theory calculations. At zero temperature, an interesting extension to the AdS3/BCFT2 correspondence is uncovered, revealing different gravitational duals based on the value of Delta bcc.

Summary: Recent studies have shown that in black hole geometry, the localization of black hole information occurs in a region different from the island. The calculation suggests that this region contains all the information of the total system, while the information of the black hole is concentrated on the surface.

Summary: The study defines defect extremal surface by minimizing the Ryu-Takayanagi surface corrected by the quantum theory localized on the defect, and extends the results to higher dimensions. It is found that the entropy computed from bulk defect extremal surface is generally less than that from island formula in boundary low energy effective theory, suggesting a smaller entropy from the UV completion of island formula.

Summary: This paper investigates a particular deformation of the Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity studied recently by Maxfield, Turiaci, and independently by Witten, calculating the partition function and higher-order correlators in the low temperature limit for small perturbations. The results match with the Airy limit of a Hermitian random matrix ensemble. Furthermore, the study of the free energy of the model shows that although the annealed free energy has pathological behaviors, the quenched free energy evaluated by replica trick exhibits desired properties at low temperatures.
