Two-Dimensional Metal/Semiconductor Contact in a Janus MoSH/MoSi2N4 van der Waals Heterostructure

Chuong Nguyen et al.

Summary: We have successfully synthesized single-layer metallic Janus MoSH and semiconducting MoSi2N4 and investigated their electronic and interfacial features. The metal/semiconductor MoSH/MoSi2N4 contact forms a p-type Schottky contact with a small Schottky barrier. Furthermore, we found that the electronic structure and interfacial features of the MoSH/MoSi2N4 vdW heterostructure can be tuned under strain and electric fields.

Two-gap superconductivity in a Janus MoSH monolayer

Peng-Fei Liu et al.

Summary: This study reports the high-temperature phonon-mediated superconductivity in a two-dimensional metal hydride, Janus MoSH monolayer. The coupling of electrons from Mo-d orbitals to ultrahigh frequency H- and S-derived phonons leads to strong coupling two-gap superconductivity, with a calculated critical temperature of about 28.58 K at atmosphere pressure. Doping can further increase the critical temperature to 37.31 K. This work suggests a real metal hydride for achieving two-dimensional high-temperature superconductivity at atmosphere pressure.

Charge density wave and pressure-dependent superconductivity in the kagome metal CsV3Sb5: A first-principles study

Jian-Guo Si et al.

Summary: The origin of the charge density wave (CDW) order and the superconducting properties of CsV3Sb5 under pressure are studied using first-principles calculations. The momentum-dependent electron-phonon coupling effect is found to play an important role in the formation of CDW order, and the experimentally observed double superconducting domes can be explained by the movement of the van Hove singularity and the redistribution of the electron-phonon coupling. The main contribution to the electron-phonon coupling shifts from in-plane vibrational modes to out-of-plane modes with increasing pressure.
