Blockchain, logistics and omnichannel for last mile and performance

Alessandro Gaetano Naclerio et al.

Summary: This research investigates the effects of blockchain on omnichannel solutions and logistics strategies. It found that blockchain technology alone is not effective in solving last mile issues and improving performance. However, it has a positive contribution to both omnichannel and logistics. Implementing a strong logistics system is crucial for managing the last mile and achieving high performance. The research provides empirical support for the impact of blockchain on logistics and omnichannel management.

Leveraging the circular economy with a closed-loop supply chain and a reverse omnichannel using blockchain technology and incentives

Pietro De Giovanni

Summary: This paper analyzes the benefits of blockchain technology in the circular economy. The findings show that the blockchain can improve the efficiency of the circular economy system, but reverse omnichannel solutions do not bring significant benefits to performance. Additionally, the shift from passive to active return approaches needs careful evaluation, as consumer incentives can have negative effects on the blockchain. Different combinations of incentives only lead to minor improvements in business performance, while collector incentives are crucial for enhancing the operational and service capabilities of the circular economy system.

Investigating barriers to circular supply chain in the textile industry from Stakeholders' perspective

Ipek Kazancoglu et al.

Summary: The study aims to understand the circular supply chain barriers faced by textile companies in implementing the circular economy. The main contribution of the study is to propose a specific framework that reveals the causal relationships among circular supply chain barriers in the textile industry from a holistic perspective. The findings show that the lack of collecting, sorting, and recycling, reluctance to accept the circular economy model, and issues related to uniformity and standardization are identified as the most important barriers.
