Summary: Currently, antimicrobial resistance is a major threat to global public health. Antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) has been proposed as a crucial approach to tackle this crisis. This study aimed to identify the core elements of ASP for domestic medical facilities through a Delphi survey. The identified core elements include leadership commitment, operating system, action, tracking, reporting, and education. It is necessary to ensure collaboration among departments, establish reimbursement system and workforce, provide financial support and incentives, and incorporate core elements into healthcare accreditation for the effective implementation of ASP.
