Dynamic Event-Triggered Output Feedback Control for Load Frequency Control in Power Systems With Multiple Cyber Attacks

Pengcheng Chen et al.

Summary: This article presents a novel dynamic event-triggered scheme for load frequency regulation, which deals with periodic denial-of-service attacks and deception attacks using a decentralized output-based control algorithm. The proposed scheme automatically adjusts the triggered condition parameters based on the frequency trend of DoS attacks, ensuring power system stability while reducing network bandwidth usage.

Event-based asynchronous dissipative filtering for fuzzy nonhomogeneous Markov switching systems with variable packet dropouts

Xia Zhou et al.

Summary: This work focuses on the event-based asynchronous filtering problem for T-S fuzzy nonhomogeneous Markov switching systems with variable packet dropouts. The mode switching among subsystems is described by a discrete-time nonhomogeneous Markov process with time-varying transition probabilities characterized by a polytope structure. Variable packet dropouts are used to represent randomly occurring packet dropouts with variable and uncertain arrival rates. To save network bandwidth, an event-triggered strategy and quantization scheme are introduced. By establishing a fuzzy rule-dependent Lyapunov functional and applying a hidden Markov model policy, sufficient criteria are obtained and asynchronous filters are designed using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The proposed filtering strategy is validated using an inverted pendulum model.

Asynchronous filtering of MSRSNSs with the event-triggered try-once-discard protocol and deception attacks

Xia Zhou et al.

Summary: This paper analyzes the issue of asynchronous filtering for discrete-time Markov switched repeat scalar nonlinear systems under deception attacks. It proposes a novel event-triggered try-once-discard protocol to save network bandwidth. The hidden Markov model with partial information is employed to describe the asynchronization between the systems and filter. By establishing a mode-dependent diagonally dominant Lyapunov function, the paper achieves sufficient criteria for stochastic stability of the augmented filtering error system and designs the desired asynchronous filter. The correctness and validity of the proposed method are verified through a numerical example.

Nonstationary quantized control for discrete-time Markov jump singularly perturbed systems against deception attacks *

Xia Zhou et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the nonstationary quantized control problem for the discrete-time Markov jump singularly perturbed systems subject to deception attacks. A multi-layer structure methodology is applied to devise nonstationary controllers, and criteria are established based on mode-dependent Lyapunov functional to ensure the resulting closed-loop system is stochastic mean square exponential ultimately bounded. Two simulation examples are provided to demonstrate the validity and superiority of the proposed theoretical results.

Summary: This paper investigates the adaptive event-triggered consensus control problem for a class of linear multi-agent systems subject to cyber attacks and communication delays. By reformulating the linear multi-agent system as a time-delay error system and providing sufficient conditions for asymptotical stability and security, the proposed adaptive event-triggering scheme effectively reduces unnecessary signals transmission among agents while ensuring desired control performance.

Summary: The present research discusses leader-following consensus in multi-agent systems under uncertain nonhomogeneous Markov switching, time-varying delay, and denial of service cyber-attacks. New mean-square leader-following consensus conditions are proposed, introducing the concept of average DoS ratio, which establish the relationship between control gains and sleeping, and active periods of DoS signal. The theoretical result is validated through a numerical example.
