Robust and Radiation-Resistant Hofmann-Type Metal-Organic Frameworks for Record Xenon/Krypton Separation

Enhancement of post-combustion CO2 capture capacity by incorporation of task-specific ionic liquid into ZIF-8

Summary: In this study, two task specific ionic liquids (TSILs) were encapsulated into Zeolite imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) to enhance its CO2 capture capacity and CO2/N-2 selectivity at post-combustion conditions. The TSIL@ZIF-8 composite sorbents showed significantly higher CO2 uptake and selectivity compared to ZIF-8. These composites have the potential to be used in post-combustion CO2 capture processes.
