The time of eCG administration in progesterone injection-based estrus synchronization protocol could affect the time of estrus expression in ewes during non-breeding season

Maryam Payan et al.

Summary: The objectives of this study were to investigate the suitable time of eCG administration following progesterone injections and propose a suitable time for AI in ewes during non-breeding season. The results showed that eCG administration within 24 hours after progesterone injections can advance estrus expression and AI time in ewes without significant effects on reproductive performance and prolificacy.

Fixed timed artificial insemination and early resynchronization of ovulation in different categories of ewes in grazing system: Response of multiparous, nulliparous, and lactating ewes during the breeding season

Isabel Oliveira Cosentino et al.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the effects of resynchronization protocol in multiparous and nulliparous ewes, showing a higher pregnancy rate in multiparous ewes at the first artificial insemination. Resynchronized multiparous ewes had better reproductive performance compared to postpartum lactating ewes, and resynchronization treatments were found to have positive effects on nulliparous ewes' reproductive programs.
