Deeply virtual Compton scattering in the tensor-pomeron approach

Piotr Lebiedowicz et al.

Summary: The two-tensor-pomeron model is applied to real and virtual Compton scattering on a proton, showing a good description of the experimental data. The model allows studying the transition from the small-Q(2) regime to the large-Q(2) regime.

Soft-photon radiation in high-energy proton-proton collisions within the tensor-Pomeron approach: Bremsstrahlung

Piotr Lebiedowicz et al.

Summary: We discuss diffractive processes in proton-proton collisions, both with and without photon radiation, and compare our results with experimental data. The inclusion of secondary reggeons is necessary to accurately describe the low-energy data. We also investigate the photon bremsstrahlung in high-energy proton-proton collisions using the tensor-Pomeron model. These findings are significant for the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider and the LHC.

High-energy ππ scattering without and with photon radiation

Piotr Lebiedowicz et al.

Summary: In this paper, we discuss the processes pi pi - pi pi and pi pi - pi pi gamma from the perspective of quantum field theory (QFT). We study the theorem proposed by F.E. Low in the soft-photon limit and confirm his result for the 1/omega term. However, we disagree on the omega=0 term and investigate the discrepancy. Additionally, we calculate the amplitudes for these reactions using the tensor-Pomeron model and identify possible sources of anomalous soft photons. We introduce three soft-photon approximations (SPAs) and compare their results with those from the full model. The kinematic regions where the SPAs provide accurate representations of the full amplitude are determined. Finally, we discuss the fundamental information that can be obtained from high-energy exclusive hadronic reactions with and without soft photon radiation.

Study of the exclusive reaction pp → ppK*0(K)over-bar*0:f 2 (1950) resonance versus diffractive continuum

Piotr Lebiedowicz

Summary: The study presents predictions for the exclusive reaction pp -> ppK*(0)(K) over bar*(0) contributing to the K+K-pi(+)pi(-) channel, with amplitudes formulated within the nonperturbative tensor-Pomeron approach. The analysis considers different exchange mechanisms and focuses on their specifics, with one mechanism being a candidate for central diffractive production of tensor glueball while the other is an irreducible continuum. The model finds good agreement with experimental data and predicts cross sections for LHC experiments ranging from 17-250 nb, depending on assumed cuts, with absorption effects taken into account.
