The role of IT is discussed in this framework. A systematic literature review is conducted using the service system perspective. The research identifies the constructs of value-creating phenomena enabled by IT from the service system perspective and provides a research agenda for further studies.

Summary: Social media platforms are developing reporting systems to combat fake news, but it is unclear whether these systems are effective. Concerns have been raised that the popularity of videos may hinder users from reporting fake news. However, videos not only impact users' ability to detect fake news, but also affect their willingness to report and engage with it. A study found that including a video in a fake news post significantly increases the number of users reporting it to the platform. The sentiment intensity of the fake news text content also attenuates the effect of including a video.

Effects of Online Crowds on Self-Disclosure Behaviors in Online Reviews: A Multidimensional Examination

Summary: Based on social norms theory, this study examines the impact of online crowds on individuals' self-disclosure behaviors and explores the moderating role of prior experience. The findings reveal that individuals are more likely to disclose personal information as self-disclosure variance within the group increases, while they are more likely to conceal personal information as a review page becomes crowded. Prior experience weakens conformity behavior and reduces the effects of crowdedness. This study provides theoretical implications for literature on social norms and privacy, prior experience, and online reviews.

The Effect of Platform Intervention Policies on Fake News Dissemination and Survival: An Empirical Examination
