A Simultaneous Diagnosis Method for Power Switch and Current Sensor Faults in Grid-Connected Three-Level NPC Inverters

Shuiqing Xu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a simultaneous diagnosis method for power switch open-circuit faults and current sensor faults of grid-connected three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) inverters. By designing an adaptive reaching law and reducing the steady-state resonance, a novel interval sliding model observer is developed to accurately and rapidly track and estimate the three-phase currents. A faulty phase detection scheme and identification methods are proposed to achieve sensitive and robust detection and identification results. Hardware-in-the-loop test results validate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.

Bicriteria scheduling on an unbounded parallel-batch machine for minimizing makespan and maximum cost

Shuguang Li et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the bicriteria problem of scheduling n jobs on an unbounded parallel-batch machine, aiming to minimize both makespan and maximum cost simultaneously. Improved algorithms with O(n3) time complexity are proposed for jobs with arbitrary processing times and equal release dates, as well as for jobs with equal processing times and arbitrary release dates with a precedence relation. The latter algorithm is the first polynomial time algorithm for this problem.

Credible capacity calculation method of distributed generation based on equal power supply reliability criterion

Jiahao Chen et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a method for calculating the credible capacity of distributed generation (DG) based on equal power supply reliability criterion, taking into account both the unserved electricity under fault state and the insufficient power supply under normal state. By utilizing optimization models and a load curtailment model, it is found that ignoring the insufficient electricity under normal state can lead to a significant deviation in the credible capacity value.
