Butylphthalide Inhibits TLR4/NF-κB Pathway by Upregulation of miR-21 to Have the Neuroprotective Effect

Lan Zhan et al.

Summary: This study verified the neuroprotective effect of Butylphthalide on a mouse model of stroke and found that it may inhibit neuronal apoptosis and ROS production by upregulating the level of miR-21. It also improved proliferation activity and the specific mechanism may involve the inhibition of the TLR4/NF-kappa B pathway.

Exosomes from adipose-derived stem cells and application to skin wound healing

Yang An et al.

Summary: ADSCs-EXOs modulate immune responses and inflammation, promote angiogenesis, accelerate proliferation and re-epithelization of skin cells, and regulate collagen remodelling to inhibit scar hyperplasia in wounds. Compared with ADSCs therapeutics, ADSCs-EXOs have high stability, easy storage, immune system non-rejection, homing effect, and easily controlled dosage. In patients with diabetes mellitus, ADSCs-EXOs can improve fat grafting and promote wound healing.

Exosomes from adipose-derived stem cells alleviate the inflammation and oxidative stress via regulating Nrf2/HO-1 axis in macrophages

Kuo Shen et al.

Summary: ADSCs exosomes can polarize macrophages to an anti-inflammatory phenotype by regulating the expression of Nrf2 and HO-1, improving inflammation and organ injury in sepsis models.

Exosomes as a Promising Therapeutic Strategy for Peripheral Nerve Injury

Tianhao Yu et al.

Summary: Autologous nerve grafts are widely accepted as the gold standard for peripheral nerve repair, but their usability is reduced by inherent drawbacks. Exosomes, as key players in intercellular communication, have shown promising potential in treating peripheral nerve injury and enhancing the repairing capacity of nerve grafts.

Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell-secreted exosome alleviates dextran sulfate sodium-induced acute colitis by Treg cell induction and inflammatory cytokine reduction

Neda Heidari et al.

Summary: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, is an inflammatory condition that can be caused by environmental and genetic factors. Research suggests that exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can regulate the Treg cell population and improve inflammation in DSS-induced acute colitis.

Inhibitory Effect of Bovine Adipose-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells on Lipopolysaccharide Induced Inflammation of Endometrial Epithelial Cells in Dairy Cows

Wengeng Lu et al.

Summary: The study explored the inhibitory effects of bovine adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (bAD-MSCs) on inflammation in bovine endometrial epithelial cells. Results showed that bAD-MSC treatments could decrease apoptosis and pro-inflammatory cytokine expression levels in bEECs, as well as regulate proteins related to inflammatory progress and cellular apoptosis. These findings provide new insights for the clinical therapy of endometritis in dairy cows.
