Summary: This study investigated the spinal alignment in adolescents of different ages and found that spinal parameters, except for cervical lordosis, increased with age. The concave-convex spacings effectively reflected spinal differences between age groups. The study suggests the necessity of designing spine-related furniture based on spinal parameters to provide adaptive support for the adolescent spine.

Summary: This study proposes two isolation models (NSS-AS and NSS-4) using negative stiffness structure to improve the ride comfort of electric vehicles. The models are evaluated based on the root-mean-square acceleration of the driver's head under different road conditions. The results show that NSS-AS performs better than NSS-4 in improving ride comfort and isolation performance.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the influence of sound and vibration on the perceived overall ride comfort in electric vehicles (EVs) and identify the differences between EVs and combustion engine vehicles (CVs). The results showed that high-frequency tones from electric components dominated the dynamic discomfort in EVs, while tire noise and wind noise were the main causes of sound annoyance in CVs. Additionally, EVs produced low-frequency sounds and vibrations when the engine was switched on and off, while emitting a designed signature sound during start/stop.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of button features on user performance in smart home interfaces. The results showed that button size and graphics/text ratio significantly influenced user performance in both age groups, while icon style only affected the senior group. Elderly participants preferred larger buttons with larger texts and skeuomorphic icons, while young participants preferred equal-sized graphics and text.

Summary: The water supply network is vital for a city and requires regular evaluation of its risk level. A new evaluation method was proposed, including establishing an evaluation index system, calculating proportions using ANP, and evaluating the risk level through a model based on ANP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Results show that most pipelines in the Yangtze River Delta are in good condition.

Summary: Pumping station designs in water networks usually consider both technical and economic aspects, but often overlook certain subjective technical factors. This study aims to select the most suitable pump model and determine the priorities of technical and economic factors in pumping station design through a multi-criteria analysis. By integrating technical factors (such as number of pumps and system complexity) and economic factors (investment, operational, and maintenance costs), the methodology seeks to find the most suitable pump model for each case study.
