NLO computation of diffractive di-hadron production in a saturation framework

Michael Fucilla et al.

Summary: In this paper, the cross-sections of diffractive double hadron photo- or electroproduction with large p(T) on a nucleon or a nucleus are calculated to NLO accuracy. A hybrid formalism combining collinear factorization and high energy small-x factorization, particularly the shockwave formalism, is used to derive the results. The cancelation of divergences is explicitly demonstrated, and the finite parts of the NLO differential cross-sections are determined. The results are applicable to both photoproduction and leptoproduction in arbitrary kinematics, making them useful for detecting saturation effects at the future EIC or already at LHC using Ultra Peripheral Collisions.

Transverse-momentum resummation for boson plus jet production at hadron colliders

Luca Buonocore et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the associated production of a vector or Higgs boson with a jet in hadronic collisions. When the transverse momentum of the boson jet system is much smaller than its invariant mass, the QCD perturbative expansion is affected by large logarithmic terms which need to be resummed to all orders. We discuss the structure of the resummation of logarithmically enhanced contributions up to next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy and provide explicit analytical results for the resummation coefficients.

Comparisons with recent measurements from the CMS experiment show that both theoretical predictions offer a good description of the data within experimental and theoretical uncertainties, highlighting the need for higher-accuracy calculations.

Four-Loop Rapidity Anomalous Dimension and Event Shapes to Fourth Logarithmic Order

Summary: In this study, we obtain the quark and gluon rapidity anomalous dimension up to fourth order in QCD and make use of the soft and rapidity anomalous dimension correspondence, combined with the recent determination of the N4LO threshold anomalous dimensions. We show that the results for the quark and gluon rapidity anomalous dimensions at four loops are related by generalized Casimir scaling. By utilizing the N4LO rapidity anomalous dimension, we achieve the resummation of the energy-energy correlation in the back-to-back limit at N4LL for the first time, resulting in a reduction of perturbative uncertainties on the resummed cross section to below 1%.

Diffractive semi-hard production of a J/ψ or a Υ from single-parton fragmentation plus a jet in hybrid factorization

Francesco Giovanni Celiberto et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the inclusive hadroproduction of a heavy quarkonium (J/psi or Upsilon) in association with a light-flavored jet to test the semi-hard regime of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). We use a hybrid high-energy and collinear factorization approach that combines the standard collinear method with the t-channel resummation of leading and next-to-leading energy logarithms (BFKL). We present predictions for rapidity and azimuthal-angle differential distributions in order to observe stabilizing effects of the high-energy series under higher-order corrections. This research provides an additional channel to test the production mechanisms of quarkonia at high energies and large transverse momenta, and potentially sheds light on the transition region from heavy-quark pair production to single-parton fragmentation of J/psi and Upsilon states.
