Observation of the doubly charmed baryon decay Ξcc++ → Ξc′+π+

R. Aaij et al.

Summary: The Xi(++)(cc) -> Xi('+)(c)pi(+) decay is observed and measured using data collected by the LHCb experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. The branching fraction relative to another decay is found to be 1.41 with uncertainties accounted for.

Heavy-flavor-conserving hadronic weak decays of charmed and bottom baryons: An update

Hai -Yang Cheng et al.

Summary: This paper provides an update on the previous research on the heavy-flavor-conserving weak decays of charmed and bottom baryons. The improvements made on the bag wave functions by removing the center-of-mass motion of the bag has resulted in nearly twice larger matrix elements of 4-quark operators compared to previous findings. The calculated branching fractions of certain decay modes are in agreement with experimental results, indicating that these decays can be tested in the near future using LHCb, Belle, and Belle II.

W-exchange contribution to the decays Ξcc++ → Ξc+(')π+ using light-cone sum rules

Yu-Ji Shi et al.

Summary: In this study, we calculate the contribution of W-exchange to the Ξ(++)(cc) -> Ξ+((')())(c)π(+) decay using light-cone sum rules. By combining our W-exchange amplitudes with factorizable amplitudes from various theoretical methods, we obtain the branching fraction ratio consistent with experimental results.

Revisiting the transition Ξcc+ +→ Ξc(′)+ to understand the data from LHCb

Hong-Wei Ke et al.

Summary: The LHCb collaboration has measured the decay rate of the doubly charmed baryon Xi cc(++) and reported a ratio of its branching fraction to another decay. This result contradicts theoretical predictions. The researchers used the light-front quark model to study the decay process and proposed a mixing mechanism to explain the discrepancy between the experimental result and theoretical predictions.

Topological tensor invariants and the current algebra approach: analysis of 196 nonleptonic two-body decays of single and double charm baryons - a review

Stefan Groote et al.

Summary: This article sheds new light on the standard current algebra approach to the nonleptonic two-body decays of single and double heavy charm baryons. By rewriting the results of the current algebra approach in terms of topological tensor invariants, a new and compact assessment of the results is achieved. Tables of the values of the topological tensor invariants for all types of charm baryon decays are provided.

Measurement of the Cross Sections of Ξc0 and Ξc+ Baryons and of the Branching-Fraction Ratio BRo (Ξc0 → Ξ- e+ νe)/BR(Ξc0 → Ξ- π+) in pp Collisions at √s=13 TeV

S. Acharya et al.

Summary: The p(T)-differential cross sections of prompt charm-strange baryons Xi(0)(c) and Xi(+)(c) were measured in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy root s = 13 TeV. The branching-fraction ratio and transverse momentum dependence were evaluated, with comparisons made to different models. The results provide constraints to theoretical calculations and insights into charm hadronization processes in different collision environments.

SU(3) symmetry and its breaking effects in semileptonic heavy baryon decays

Xiao-Gang He et al.

Summary: Using flavor SU(3) symmetry, we analyzed the semileptonic decays of anti-triplet charmed baryons and found significant discrepancies between experimental data and theoretical predictions, indicating severe breaking of the SU(3) symmetry. We then considered generic SU(3) breaking effects, finding that the breaking effects are large but can be explained in different scenarios. Furthermore, we explored testable implications in some interesting scenarios that can be rigorously tested with more data.

Measurements of the Branching Fractions of the Semileptonic Decays Ξc0→ Ξ-l+νl and the Asymmetry Parameter of Ξc0 → Ξ-π+

Y. B. Li et al.

Summary: Using data samples recorded at energies of 10.52 and 10.58 GeV, measurements of branching fractions of semileptonic decays and the CP-asymmetry parameter of specific decays were reported with improved precision. The results are consistent with lepton flavor universality, and the asymmetry parameter is found to be consistent with zero.
