In innate immune cells, the transcription factor c-Maf plays a crucial role in regulating cell fate and function, influencing immune homeostasis and antitumor immunity. This article discusses recent breakthroughs in c-Maf research, particularly its impact on the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) and proposes c-Maf-targeted cancer immunotherapy as a potential strategy.
In innate immune cells, the tran-scription factor cellular musculo-aponeurotic fibrosarcoma (c-Maf) influences cell fate and function through molecular and metabolic programming, thereby influencing immune homeostasis and antitumor immunity. We discuss recent c-Maf landmark discoveries with a focus on the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) and pro-vide a new perspective on c-Maf-targeted cancer immunotherapy.
