Flexible transparent silver nanowires conductive films fabricated with spin-coating method

Liren Shi

Summary: Flexible transparent silver nanowires (AgNWs) conductive films were fabricated on a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate via a two-stage spin coating method. The electrical, optical, mechanical properties and microstructures of the films were studied, and it was found that smaller diameter AgNWs exhibited better connectivity. After 1000 bending cycles, the films still had low sheet resistance.

Weak epsilon-negative silver nanowires/polyimide metacomposites with extremely low losses

Licheng Ju et al.

Summary: In this study, a percolation network of silver nanowires was constructed in a polyimide matrix, resulting in a transformation of permittivity from positive to negative when the amount of nanowires exceeded the percolation threshold. By controlling the content of silver nanowires, a metacomposite with a weak negative permittivity of -16 and low dielectric loss was successfully prepared, featuring an ultralow percolating concentration.
