Collider search of light dark matter model with dark sector decay *

Yu Cheng et al.

Summary: This study explores the possibility that the dark matter relic density is not directly produced by a thermal mechanism, but by the decay of other heavier dark-sector particles. Using a concrete model, the collider signature of the dark sector particles associated with Higgs production processes is studied, and it is found that future lepton colliders could be a better place to probe the signature of this kind of light dark matter model than hadron colliders such as LHC. Furthermore, it is found that a Higgs factory with a center-of-mass energy of 250 GeV has a better potential to resolve the signature of this kind of light dark matter model than a Higgs factory with a center-of-mass energy of 350 GeV.

Non-thermal origin of asymmetric dark matter from inflaton and primordial black holes

Basabendu Barman et al.

Summary: This study investigates the possibility of co-genesis of baryon and dark matter through the decay of right-handed neutrinos, considering two non-thermal scenarios: resonance decay of inflaton and evaporation of ultralight primordial black holes. By setting up a complete set of Boltzmann equations, the parameter space of the particle physics setup is constrained to ensure the correct abundance of dark matter and baryon asymmetry, while being consistent with other cosmological bounds.

Secluded dark matter in gauged B - L model

Priyotosh Bandyopadhyay et al.

Summary: In this study, we examine the gauged B-L model with an extended secluded dark sector, where the lightest Z(2)-odd particle serves as the dark matter candidate. We analyze the various production processes contributing to the dark matter relic abundance and classify them into two scenarios, discussing the dependence of dark matter relic abundance on model parameters. Additionally, we investigate the potential discovery of the BSM Higgs through invisible Higgs decay searches.

Sterile neutrino portals to Majorana dark matter: effective operators and UV completions

Leonardo Coito et al.

Summary: This study investigates the constraints on the interactions between dark matter and the Standard Model, and the possibility of communication between the visible and dark sectors through coupling with sterile neutrinos. The research finds that both lepton-number-conserving and lepton-number-violating operators are possible, which are connected to the Dirac/Majorana nature of active neutrinos.

Interplay between neutrino and gravity portals for FIMP dark matter

Summary: The study focuses on the interplay between the neutrino portal through the right-handed neutrinos and the gravity portal through the massless spin-2 graviton in producing dark matter particles in the early universe. By exploring the parameter space and conducting analysis on the Littlest Seesaw model, it reveals the key elements involved in the production of dark matter particles.

Light Dirac neutrino portal dark matter with observable ΔNeff

Anirban Biswas et al.

Summary: The study proposes a Dirac neutrino portal dark matter scenario by extending the particle content of the Standard Model with right-handed neutrinos, a dark matter candidate, and a scalar, introducing a Z(4) symmetry for stability and thermalization mechanisms. It is found that low mass dark matter is excluded by Planck 2018 data and future experiments are needed to probe the entire model parameter space, especially in the low mass range where direct detection experiments are currently lacking sensitivity.

Light dark matter from dark sector decay

Yu Cheng et al.

Summary: Light dark matter with right relic density can be produced by the decay of other dark sector particles. The dark matter candidate is generated by the decay of a heavier dark sector singlet scalar, and its mass can be at the GeV or MeV scale with very weak interactions. The dark sector singlet scalar can have a mass at the GeV-TeV scale and interacts weakly with Standard Model particles.

Summary: The study explores the relativistic freeze-in production of scalar dark matter in the gauged B-L model, focusing on production from the decay and annihilation of Standard Model and B-L Higgs bosons. It is found that in addition to the SM Higgs boson, the annihilation and decay of the B-L scalar can substantially contribute to the dark matter relic density.

FIMP Dark Matter from Leptogenesis in Fast Expanding Universe

Zhi-Fang Chang et al.

Summary: This paper explores the effects of a fast expanding Universe on leptogenesis and FIMP dark matter within the framework of canonical type-I seesaw. Results show that the presence of φ significantly impacts the final baryon asymmetry and dark matter abundance in the strong washout scenario, while the effects are relatively small in the weak washout scenario. Scale factors F-L and F-chi are introduced to describe the corresponding effects of FEU, and an analytical approach to derive efficiency factors in FEU is discussed.

Dark matter in the type Ib seesaw model

M. Chianese et al.

Summary: This paper presents a minimal type Ib seesaw model and proposes an extension introducing dark matter into the model, exploring the parameter space for dark matter production. The connection between dark matter production and laboratory experiments is discussed, especially in relation to the mixing between standard model neutrinos and heavy neutrinos. Parameters related to dark matter production are constrained by experimental results and can be tested further in future experiments such as SHiP.
