A novel art of continuous noninvasive blood pressure measurement

Juergen Fortin et al.

Summary: The continuous noninvasive blood pressure measurement system CNAP2GO presents a potential breakthrough in patient monitoring, directly measuring blood pressure using volume control technique for integration in small wearable sensors. CNAP2GO demonstrated excellent blood pressure measurement performance during surgeries, with the capability to derive cardiac output and other hemodynamic variables. The system can self-calibrate and be miniaturized for wearable use, offering significant promise for blood pressure monitoring in clinical settings.

Miniaturization of a Finger-Worn Blood Pressure Instrument

Tuukka Panula et al.

Summary: The study introduces a miniature cuffless tonometric finger probe system for blood pressure measurement using the oscillometric method. It is also capable of collecting arterial pulse wave data for deriving other cardiovascular parameters. The device is convenient and can be used in daily life, offering a new option for cardiovascular health monitoring.

Single-Channel Bioimpedance Measurement for Wearable Continuous Blood Pressure Monitoring

Ting-Wei Wang et al.

Summary: This study developed a single-channel wrist-worn impedance plethysmography (IPG) system for wearable continuous blood pressure measurement, with a two-step calibration for an IPG-based blood pressure mathematical model. The system achieved high-resolution IPG measurement by optimizing injection current frequency and electrode arrangement to capture the impedance difference between systolic and diastolic blood pressure, showing promising accuracy results for blood pressure estimation.
