A technique for the study of (p,n) reactions with unstable isotopes at energies relevant to astrophysics

P. Gastis et al.

Summary: The article introduces an experimental technique for measuring low-energy (p,n) reactions in inverse kinematics and verifies the feasibility of the technique through the Ar-40(p,n)K-40 reaction. Results show that cross-section measurements with an uncertainty of approximately 25% are achievable under specific conditions, and future plans for experiments using SECAR are discussed.
