Techno-economic model and feasibility assessment of green hydrogen projects based on electrolysis supplied by photovoltaic PPAs

Power-purchase agreements (PPAs) can improve the feasibility of hydrogen projects by supplying renewable electricity. This study presents a model applicable to hydrogen projects and applies it to pioneering projects in Spain using photo-voltaic PPAs. The results demonstrate that PPAs are an enabling mechanism for sustainable green hydrogen projects.
