X (3872) and Tcc: Structures and productions in heavy ion collisions

Hyeongock Yun et al.

Summary: We discuss the possible structures of the observed Tcc and X(3872) states, arguing that Tcc could be a compact multiquark configuration while X(3872) is more likely a molecular configuration. We base our argument on the different short range interactions and the presence of a common strong mixing at larger distances. Using the coalescence model, we calculate the transverse momentum dependence of the tetraquarks produced in heavy ion collisions and compare it with experimental data. Our results suggest that the previously assumed compact multiquark structure of Tcc is significantly different from the observed distribution, providing evidence for its molecular configuration.

Algebraic approach to a quarkyoniclike configuration and stable diquarks in dense matter

Aaron Park et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the color-spin interaction energy of a quark, diquark, and baryon with their surrounding baryons and/or quark matter. We categorize all possible flavor and spin states of the resulting multiquark configuration in both flavor SU(2) and SU(3) symmetric cases. The findings suggest that the interaction energy is lowest for a single surrounding baryon for the baryon, but lowest for multiple baryons or a quark gas for the quark. The study also provides a quark model basis for the quarkyoniclike phase in dense matter.

A NICER View of the Massive Pulsar PSR J0740+6620 Informed by Radio Timing and XMM-Newton Spectroscopy

Thomas E. Riley et al.

Summary: The study utilizes Bayesian estimation to analyze the radius, mass, and hot surface regions of the massive millisecond pulsar PSR J0740+6620 based on Neutron Star Interior Composition Explorer X-ray Timing Instrument event data. The results show that the equatorial radius of PSR J0740+6620 is approximately 12.39 km, with a mass of about 2.072 solar masses, each reported within a specific posterior credible interval.

Case for quarkyoniclike matter from a constituent quark model

Aaron Park et al.

Summary: Based on the constituent quark model and quark dynamics with confinement, this study analyzes the appearance of quarkyonic modes in the phase space of baryons as density increases. It is found that as baryon density increases, the initial quark mode involves dou thorn quarks from neutron (proton) and leaves the most attractive (ud) diquark intact.
