Summary: A detailed study and evaluation of welfare consequences and hazards that sheep and goats may face during slaughter were conducted, identifying 40 welfare hazards and 12 welfare consequences. It was found that staff with inadequate skills and fatigue were the main causes of most hazards, highlighting the importance of implementing structural and managerial measures for prevention.
