Predictors of stigma toward alcohol misuse in Latino communities: a path model

Summary: This study examines the stigma-related beliefs about alcohol misuse in the Latino community. A convenience sample of 251 self-identified Latino adults were recruited and randomly assigned to one of four vignettes about alcohol misuse. Participants shared their attitudes and stigma-related beliefs regarding the problem and the person in the vignette. The participants' sociodemographic characteristics predicted alcohol-related stigma to varying degrees. These findings can inform interventions targeting health literacy and stigma reduction in the Latino community.

Urgent actions are needed to scale up mental health and psychosocial support services for all, reach marginalized and at-risk populations, and rebuild better mental health systems and services for the future.

Reducing women's alcohol use: a brief intervention pilot study at a primary health care service in Brazil

Predictors of Depression and Anxiety Symptoms in Brazil during COVID-19

Telenursing in COVID-19 times and maternal health: WhatsApp® as a support tool
