PF6- Pseudohalides Anion Based Metal-Free Perovskite Single Crystal for Stable X-Ray Detector to Attain Record Sensitivity

Zhizai Li et al.

Summary: Metal-free perovskites (MFPs) with excellent photophysical properties have been expanded to X-ray detection, but iodine-based MFPs suffer from material stability and device performance issues. This study proposes using PF6- pseudohalides to fabricate large-size MDABCO-NH4(PF6)(3) single crystals (SCs) to solve the problems related to iodine ions. The introduction of PF6- pseudohalides enhances Coulomb interaction and hydrogen bonding, alleviating ion migration and improving stability. The X-ray detector based on MDABCO-NH4(PF6)(3) SCs achieves high sensitivity and low detectable dose rate, expanding the selection of MFPs for X-ray detectors.

F-Type Pseudo-Halide Anions for High-Efficiency and Stable Wide-Band-Gap Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells with Fill Factor Exceeding 84%

Junlei Tao et al.

Summary: The use of F-type pseudo-halogen additives in wide-band-gap perovskite films improves grain size, crystal quality, and reduces defect density. The substitution of F-type pseudo-halogen anions for I-/Br- releases stress distortion and effectively suppresses carrier recombination, reduces charge transfer loss, and inhibits phase separation. These findings enhance the power conversion efficiency and stability of wide-band-gap perovskite solar cells.
