The strength of the narrow resonance of the 13C(& alpha;, n)16O reaction at E & alpha; = 1055.63 keV is determined to be 16.9 & PLUSMN; 0.4(stat) & PLUSMN; 1.7(sys) eV, and the sum of the resonance strengths of the two narrow resonances around E & alpha; = 1336 keV is determined to be 57.3 & PLUSMN; 4.8(stat) & PLUSMN; 5.7(sys) eV. These measurements reconcile inconsistencies of past measurements and are in agreement with the recommendations of the ENDF/B-VIII.0 evaluation and the CIELO project.
The strength of the narrow resonance of the 13C(& alpha;, n)16O reaction at E & alpha; = 1055.63 keV is determined to be 16.9 & PLUSMN; 0.4(stat) & PLUSMN; 1.7(sys) eV. The resonance strength and the cross section in the vicinity of the resonance are used to reconcile inconsistencies of past measurements. Our normalization factors agree with the recommendation of the ENDF/B-VIII.0 evaluation and the CIELO project. The sum of the resonance strengths of the two narrow resonances around E & alpha; = 1336 keV is also determined to be 57.3 & PLUSMN; 4.8(stat) & PLUSMN; 5.7(sys) eV.
