Inclusive rates from smeared spectral densities in the two-dimensional O(3) non-linear σ-model

John Bulava et al.

Summary: This work applies the spectral reconstruction approach to determine the inclusive rate in the 1 + 1 dimensional O(3) non-linear sigma-model. By computing the Euclidean two-point correlation function and determining the spectral density, the real-time inclusive rate is obtained without the need for individual finite-volume energies or matrix elements.

Lattice QCD study of inclusive semileptonic decays of heavy mesons

Paolo Gambino et al.

Summary: We present an ab initio study of inclusive semileptonic decays of heavy mesons from lattice QCD. Our results obtained from gauge-field ensembles are compared with theoretical predictions from the operator-product expansion.

Lattice studies of the Sp(4) gauge theory with two fundamental and three Dirac fermions

Ed Bennett et al.

Summary: In this study, we consider the coupling between the Sp(4) gauge theory and Nf = 2 fundamental fermions and nf = 3 antisymmetric fermions in four dimensions. By numerically studying its lattice realization, we find evidence of first-order bulk phase transitions in the three-dimensional space of bare parameters. We also evaluate the patterns of global symmetry breaking and mass spectra of various composite particles. This work lays the foundation for future nonperturbative studies in phenomenologically relevant regions of parameter space.

Variations on the Maiani-Testa approach and the inverse problem

M. Bruno et al.

Summary: The method discussed in the paper presents a way to construct hadronic scattering and decay amplitudes from Euclidean correlators by combining inverse Laplace transform and the work of Maiani and Testa. By inserting a smooth step function in the spectral decomposition, the large t limit can project onto scattering or decay amplitudes above threshold. The utility of this method is highlighted through large t expansions of both three- and four-point functions, showing improved convergence compared to the expansion in powers of 1/t.
