Monitoring cell viability in N-nitrosodiethylamine induced acute hepatitis and detection of hydrazine in solution and gas phase with Dual-function fluorescent probes

Youbo Lai et al.

Summary: This research designed a two-photon ratiometric fluorescent probe for detecting cell viability in NDEA induced acute hepatitis and evaluating the content of hydrazine in solution and gas phase. The results showed that NDEA decreased cell viability and the probe could be used for rapid detection of hydrazine.

Multi-scene visual hydrazine hydrate detection based on a dibenzothiazole derivative

Yingshuang Chen et al.

Summary: A new N2H4 fluorescent probe based on a dibenzothiazole derivative (DBTD) was prepared in this study, which exhibited a strong ratio of colorimetric detection of N2H4, rapid response, and good selectivity and sensitivity (detection limit of 0.438 μM). With its excellent performance, the DBTD probe was successfully utilized for the determination of trace N2H4 in water, cells, and zebrafish. Additionally, the fluorescence colocalization experiment confirmed the lysosomal-targetable ability of DBTD.

Recent progress in the fluorescent probes for hydrazine detection

Erfei Wang et al.

Summary: Hydrazine (N2H4), with its high toxicity and wide application, can cause serious environmental contamination and harm to the human body. Therefore, tracking N2H4 in vitro and in vivo is of great importance. Fluorescent probes, with ultra-sensitivity, excellent selectivity, and good water solubility, provide a promising detection tool for N2H4. This review summarizes the recent studies on fluorescent probes for hydrazine detection, including various sensing mechanisms and recognizing moieties.
