The mechanistic pathway in the selective TNP detection is determined through experimental and theoretical studies, shedding light on the importance of this research in the context of homeland security. Additionally, the Ni-SIP-BPY material shows potential as a photoanode material for visible-light-driven water splitting due to its low band gap and p-type semiconducting behavior.

Mesoporous TiO2 @ Fe metal organic framework nanocomposite for an efficient chlorpyrifos detection and degradation

Summary: In this study, a sensitive voltammetric sensor for chlorpyrifos based on TiO2@Fe-imidazole MOF nanocomposite was reported. The electrode surface morphology and enhancement study showed that the modified electrodes reduced the resistance and improved the sensing ability and electro oxidation behavior of chlorpyrifos. The developed sensor exhibited low detection limit and excellent degradation efficiency, and showed good sensitivity and selectivity towards chlorpyrifos in real samples. This research has potential importance in future environmental applications.

Summary: Reasonable regulation of the electronic structure is an effective strategy for improving the conductivity of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) based electrocatalysts. In this study, a series of Fe-MOF/Au composites were prepared on Fe Foam (FF) through hydrothermal and controlled electrodeposition time strategies. The electronic structure of the composites can be finely adjusted by tailoring the electrodeposition time. The optimized Fe-MOF/Au-8/FF composites exhibit enhanced conductivity and electrochemical activity, making them efficient bifunctional electrocatalysts for overall water splitting.
