Regulating mesopore structures of support toward enhanced selective hydrogenation of dimethyl oxalate to methyl glycolate on Ag catalysts

Zuwei Luo et al.

Summary: Regulating mesopore structures is crucial for enhancing diffusion and achieving improved activity and selectivity. Mesoporous silica with distinct structured mesopores is used as a support for Ag catalysts in the selective hydrogenation of dimethyl oxalate (DMO) into methyl glycolate (MG), leading to enhanced hydrogenation activity.

Soot combustion over Ag catalysts supported on shape-controlled CeO2

Wei Wang et al.

Summary: CeO2 nano-cubes as the support of Ag/CeO2 exhibit higher activity in soot combustion, attributed to the presence of metallic state Ag and high concentration of oxygen vacancies. CeO2-R and CeO2-O show improvement as well, but still have limitations in oxygen activation and reaction pathway compared to CeO2-C.

Unsaturated Mo in Mo4O4N3 for efficient catalytic transfer hydrogenation of nitrobenzene using stoichiometric hydrazine hydrate

Shicheng Luo et al.

Summary: A novel N-doped molybdenum oxide compound Mo4O4N3 was synthesized in situ from g-C3N4 and (NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O, which efficiently catalyzed the transfer hydrogenation of nitroarenes to anilines at room temperature with a high yield. The acidic sites of unsaturated Mo in Mo4O4N3 were found to activate N2H4 molecules for catalytic hydrogenation without generating hazardous NH3, showing promising potential for arylamine production.
