Influence of Berry dye on some properties of nanocomposite (PVA/TiO2) films

Ameen Alwan Mohaimeed et al.

Summary: In this paper, nanocomposite (PVA/TiO2/Berry dye) films are prepared and their optical and structural properties are measured. The films show increased absorbance and decreased transmittance due to the increase in the concentration of Berry dye. The energy gap decreases and all optical constants increase with an increase in the concentration of Berry dye. The dispersion of TiO2 nanoparticles in Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) and the morphology of TiO2 and PVA/TiO2 agglomerates are observed, which make these films useful for optoelectronics applications.

Enhancement of Optical Parameters for PVA/PEG/Cr2O3 Nanocomposites for Photonics Fields

Musaab Khudhur Mohammed et al.

Summary: By adding Cr2O3 NPs, the absorption of UV waves was enhanced in the polymeric system, leading to reduced transmittance, which is beneficial for applications such as low-cost UV protection and solar radiation shield. As the concentration of Cr2O3 NPs increased, the optical energy gap for indirect transition decreased, and all optical constants were improved.

Enhancement of Optical Parameters for PVA/PEG/Cr2O3 Nanocomposites for Photonics Fields

Musaab Khudhur Mohammed et al.

Summary: The study involved synthesizing samples with different content of Chromium oxide nanoparticles (Cr(2)O(3)NPs), poly vinylalcohol (PVA), and polyethylene glycol (PEG) using solution casting technique. The addition of Cr2O3 NPs to the polymeric system improved UV wave absorption and decreased transmittance, useful for applications such as low-cost UV protection and solar radiation shield.
