Unraveling the importance of fabrication parameters of copper oxide-based resistive switching memory devices by machine learning techniques

Suvarna M. Patil et al.

Summary: Various statistical and machine learning techniques were used in this study to analyze the effect of device fabrication parameters on the performance of copper oxide-based resistive switching (RS) devices. Data from research articles published between 2008 and 2022 were analyzed using statistical techniques and ML algorithms such as CART, DT, and random forest. The results showed that ML techniques are important for understanding and optimizing memory devices, as they accurately predicted the performance of continuous and categorical features in copper oxide-based RS devices.

Low-Power Artificial Neural Network Perceptron Based on Monolayer MoS2

Guilherme Migliato Marega et al.

Summary: Machine learning and signal processing on the edge have the potential to impact our everyday lives, with devices that can learn from data generated by smart sensors and other Internet of Things devices. This study demonstrates how an in-memory processor made from a two-dimensional material can outperform silicon processors in both traditional and nontraditional architectures for artificial neural networks. Results show that this device can be scaled down to very small sizes without affecting its memory performance, and simulations suggest that it can potentially outperform neural network integrated circuits based on double-poly CMOS technology.

Microstructures and properties of CrxFeNi(3-x)Al high-entropy alloys

Wen Zhang et al.

Summary: A set of Co-free high-entropy alloys with different compositions were fabricated and their solidification microstructures and compression properties were investigated. Different solidification microstructures were observed for different compositions, and the distribution of different phases in the alloys was studied. The strength of the alloys initially decreased and then increased with increasing Cr content, and the rise in strength was mainly attributed to solid solution strengthening, fine crystal strengthening, and precipitation of a certain phase.

Unraveling the Effect of the Water Content in the Electrolyte on the Resistive Switching Properties of Self-Assembled One-Dimensional Anodized TiO2 Nanotubes

Kiran A. Nirmal et al.

Summary: The effect of water content on the resistive switching properties of Ti foils was investigated. With appropriate water content, nanopores can be transformed into nanotubes gradually, with an increase in tube wall diameter and tube length. The results showed that the resistive switching process improved when the water content increased to 5 vol %, but further increases in water content had a negative impact.
