Catalytic pyrolysis of biogas residues with incineration bottom ash by TG-MS: Kinetics analysis and biochar stability

Wenzhu Wu et al.

Summary: This study investigates the addition of biomass incineration bottom ash (ASH) into the pyrolysis of biogas residues (BR) to enhance the formation of high quality biochar. The kinetics of pyrolysis and carbon sequestration potential of biochar were analyzed. The results show that the addition of ASH inhibits over reactions, increases biochar stability, and improves carbon sequestration potential.

Biogas Reforming over Al-Co Catalyst Prepared by Solution Combustion Synthesis Method

Manapkhan Zhumabek et al.

Summary: This study investigates the results of carbon dioxide reforming of CH4 using catalysts prepared by different methods, with the conclusion that SCS catalysts show advantages over catalysts prepared by traditional methods. The aim is to develop a new catalyst for the conversion of model biogas into synthesis gas to promote environmentally friendly production in the future.

Beer spent grains biomass for biogas production: Characterization and anaerobic digestion-oriented pre-treatments

Maurizio Carlini et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the production of biogas from brewery spent grains through an anaerobic digestion process. The research found that raw brewery spent grains are suitable for anaerobic digestion application, with potential improvements in digestibility through low temperature pre-treatment. Conversely, alkali pre-treatment may negatively impact the volatile solids content of the biomass.
